A DAY IN THE LIFE

OF A TEACHING ASSISTANT AT PHORMS

This what it's like

YOUR DAY

AT PHORMS

As a Teaching Assistant in the primary school, you help the class teacher to communicate the course material according to the children’s individual needs. You ensure that the children are able to flourish in the classroom and have fun throughout the school day. Together with the class teacher, you use both German and English in keeping with the immersion method.

  1. You are an additional contact person and advocate for our students

Your work in the classroom helps to support the pedagogical work of the acting teacher. You are responsible, reliable and highly sensitive towards the children’s individual needs. You promote the development of each student together with the class teacher. You actively assist the teacher in their work with parents.

  2. You assist with the preparation and delivery of lesson content

You help the class teacher to plan and organise the lesson. During the lesson, you provide support by carrying out learning activities, either in small groups or one-on-one.

  3. You put your heart and soul into being a devoted mentor to our children

All-day care of the students and a strong sense of community are very important to you. You are enthusiastic about supervising our students not only during the school day, but also during afternoon and holiday programmes. In a nutshell: You are a devoted mentor to our children and help to create a stable, protected environment.

Does this sound like you? If so, are you a qualified teacher or nursery teacher? Are you a team player who is willing to implement and further develop our pedagogical concept? Are you interested in both English and German? Then we look forward to receiving your application.
