Berlin Mitte
At the Phorms campus Berlin Mitte, more than 730 children and adolescents are part of a German-English bilingual community that comprises a nursery, primary school and grammar school. The premises, along with its impressive Wilhelmine brick building, is home to the first and largest school in the Phorms network. The Phorms campus Berlin Mitte focuses on sport, music and the natural sciences. Lessons in these subjects represent the majority of school’s elective courses. The school grounds feature three exceptionally well-equipped sports halls. A special basketball programme is taught in cooperation with ALBA BERLIN. Experienced music teachers hold lessons in specially-equipped rooms, which are also used for rehearsals by the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin. The natural sciences are also well represented at Phorms, as evidenced by the top-tier laboratories at the school. In the grammar school, students have the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of robotics and build their own models. Additionally, every student has access to a computer and can borrow a wide variety of books from the school library.
As part of the principle of all-day education and support, we provide a diverse and sophisticated extracurricular programme for our students. They can play in a protected environment, try out new leisure activities, pursue their interests, discover new talents and develop existing ones. We also have an after-school activity centre with an afternoon programme and club programme. This comprehensive package has an additional benefit: all courses take place within the protected confines of the school. This means that students and their families are spared tiresome after-school travel – especially important to consider in a metropolis like Berlin.
