The Heidelberg International School (H.I.S.) is an IB World School for children and students from four to 18 years old, of all cultures and nationalities. The independent full-time supplementary school in the Rhine-Neckar region has been part of the Phorms network since 2009. Located in the middle of nature not far from the Heidelberg main railway station, the school is well connected to both the city and the surrounding area. The school building features modern architecture with a lot of natural light, a harmonious colour concept in the classrooms and hallways, and contemporary furnishings. In addition to bright classrooms and well-equipped specialised rooms such as an art workshop, a music room and a science lab, students can take advantage of the spacious sports hall with two climbing walls during PE lessons or during the after-school programme.

The H.I.S. has an excellent reputation in the region. It stands out not only as a result of its international community, but also thanks to the many well-known companies nearby, such as BASF, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Roche, SAP and John Deere, whose employees’ children frequently attend the H.I.S.

Lessons at the H.I.S., which offers an IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma, take place fully in English. The school follows the IB curriculum, providing students with the opportunity to attend an international university after they graduate.
